The “Aftermath” episode of “The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill” [podcast] is extremely accurate of what it’s like coming out of a cult. 15 years later with therapy I still have a hard time sleeping because of the trauma. If you were in it, it’s okay and healthy to deal with it. You don’t have to just think about the good parts of it, deal with the hard things.
